Thank God It’s Viral!

That sounds like a weird thing to say… but it’s true. Luigi came home from school last Monday complaining of a headache. Turns out he has slight fever also. This eventually turned out into high fever of 38.6 F.

Luigi hardly ever gets sick. In fact, he was telling ate Glo, “I think the last time I had fever was November 2004.”

So, since Dengue fever is rampant in this part of the country nowadays, I took him to Dr. Ludan. They told him that he had to have his blood tested on Thursday, to check if it is dengue or not. So last Thursday, Luigi, braving his mild apprehension, had his first CBC. (He screamed OWWW for a short while, but didn’t cry.)

Today he got a clean bill of health from his doctor. We went back with the results, and dengue fever is out! It’s viral…. thank God!
