While Miko was sleeping

I used to shield Miko’s bed with an ottoman, to prevent him from falling off. Last week, I removed it. I replaced it with mattresses and pillows on the floor. Two reasons: 1) I wanted to bring it down to the family room; 2) I had to know if he still falls off his bed when he’s sleeping.

Now I know – he does! This morning, the floor pillows were askew. I asked him if he fell off the bed, and he said yes.

“But I din’t cry coz it din’t hurt.”
