Balloon Fiesta
This year, Centro Montessori’s Family Day was held at the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta at Clark Air Field, Pampanga. The school was divided into 3 teams. Normally, this event is composed of several parent-child games, but today, because of the various activities going on there, we had only 1 main game- building your own air machine that could: 1. go the highest (vertically); and 2. go the distance (horizontally). Everything has to be made from scratch. The parents especially had fun doing this.
There were a lot of shows to watch- skydiving, parachuting, ultralight plane exhibitions. There were a lot of things to do, too – rides and jumpers for the kids, kite flying galore, tiangge, food. What made this more exciting for the kids is the presence of their classmates and teachers.
Both bugoys were so excited the day before, that waking them up before 5:00 am was easy! We were there by 7:30, and we stayed until 2:00 pm, even after the Centro activities closed at 11:00 am. We had lunch at Chowking, in the freeport zone (which looks dismal already,by the way. A far cry from bustling Subic).
Luigi and Miko had a lot of fun today. Actually, we all did, especially Daddy.
