Swimming Lessons

The kids had their first swimming lessons last Wednesday. It’s at Gilmore Condominium, the building adjacent to the host of PC stores. There are only 4 of them studying in Basic Swimming, and I really think that’s a good ratio. Their lessons are every M-W-F-Sa x 3 weeks.

Today was their second day. Luigi has started floating…. and moving (because he started out not moving away from where he started… funny actually). He can cross the width of the pool… it’s a small pool, but still that’s great for me. So he started out stationary, then being able to cross, pero akala mo freestyle e, because after about 4 paddles, he stops to take a breath, then swim, then breathe… (ito funny talaga!). He’s excited to swim again tomorrow.

Miko has apprehensions though, kasi the pool is 4 ft all around, and he can’t reach the floor. So he’s scared to venture away from the sides. Just this evening, he was telling me that he doesn’t want to continue his lessons anymore. I hope he gets over this feeling, because I really think he can swim fast once he knows how.

Do you guys know “Polly”? She’s a doll, sort of like Barbie. I can’t expound on this because I don’t know much about it. (I know a lot about power rangers though.) Anyway, we saw this commercial in Nick Jr about Polly’s new merchandise- something about fashion. Miko was saying how nice it was. So…
